    The perfect veil during chemotherapy

Posted by Eugenia Karlson on 19th Apr 2024

I’m recently purchased the cotton St Bernadette veils in white and blue. I am receiving chemotherapy for breast cancer and wanted a veil that I could wear that would be pretty and obscure my rapidly balding head. I loved the look of the St Bernadette veils prior to my diagnosis because of their simplicity. Now I am attending weekday masses and usually choose this veil. I can I have been veiling for about 5 years and this is helping me to draw less attention to my illness

It is a lovely kerchief/veil and I will be sure to wear it as the cold weather comes.

    Cotton veil

Pretty and very practical - no need to take it off after leaving Mass. But unlike a lace veil, this had wrinkles from the folding of it when it was shipped. I don't own an iron and I have no idea what even a gentle wash will do so I think nny best bet is to dry clean...

    Simplicity Meets Humility

Posted by Shannon on 10th Jun 2023

I own 3 of these veils. 2 in short (white & grey) and 1 in long (grey). I love the cotton option and I have even adapted the practice of ironing (yes, ironing) them every week. I haven't ironed since middle school home ec class when it was still taught in school - I'm 41 years old. The simple act of ironing them makes me appreciate being humble and feminine. I read a comment online that said this veil looks like a dish towel. Imagine hating humility that much? What did Our Lady Of Grace wear? A simple cotton veil. In fact that comment only made me love my veils even more. I've gotten many looks and compliments at mass but, above all - this simple cotton veil has drawn me even closer to Christ in the Eucharist and Our Lady. I switched out all of my other veils and gave them away to women at my parish. I will definitely be buying more. Buy it and embrace humility and simplicity.

I love this veil. It's perfect for daily Mass when I'm dressed casually for work in jeans/capris and a shirt or hoodie.

    Nice

I like the basic sensibility of this veil, and the lace trim is a nice touch. I personally feel more comfortable in a cotton veil even though it is less popular. Thank you for this design!

    Everyday veil

I wear this rolled up and tied as a head band with the lace showing. It is worn as a reminder of my vocation. Definitely will purchase more colors soon!
