St. Bernadette Cotton Veils - Long

I have been thinking about getting a more opaque headcovering for a while. Not that I feel there is anything wrong with lace veils, I just had been having a tug on my heart for something more concealing. I think some other women at my chapel have had the same idea because I have been noticing some choosing opaque scarf over lace veils. I can’t wait to wear this!

I really like the solid veil verses the lace. I also like the length of the longer veil. I think it is very attractive

I have been veiling for 16 years every time I am in church, and for quite some time I had been interested in trying an opaque veil. I like to sew and have made several lace mantillas, but did not succeed making a beautiful and workable opaque veil. This one is just what I was hoping for! It lays beautifully and is not heavy. The size and weight of the lace is also a nice combination with the fabric. This is the only veil I have used since it arrived!

I like this lightweight and easy to wear veil very much; although I was asked by a parishioner if I was a Sister (No, I am not); but it was a compliment.

My sweet husband bought me four new veils for valentine's day. this was one of them. I just love it! the material is so soft, great quality as usual.

I tried to convince myself that I have enough veils and did not need this beautiful new addition, but I am glad I did not succeed! This veil is even more special in person. Honestly, the first day I went to use it, I paused because I felt something unique about donning this specific style. It felt more noticeable but also more concealing…I even (absurdly) told my best friend I did not feel holy enough to wear this veil that day. After she rightfully laughed at and scolded me, I switched my other much loved Veils by Lily veil for this and I loved it! I generally wear infinity styles because I feel it helps conceal my chest a bit and, at the risk of sounding vain, I’m not always a fan of the way other styles fall. This one lays perfectly. I have made the white version of this veil my new standard veil for Ordinary Time. It’s very similar to what I envisioned when contemplating how I would veil after I am consecrated. Will purchase in the other colors. Absolutely love this veil.
