I was desperate for a very sheer and light weight veil for these very hot summer months when my larger rectangular black veil had become too heavy and warm during Masses. This sheer black Simplicity Mantilla veil is the answer! Now Hoping Lily makes a sheer, lightweight smaller rectangular black veil very soon!

I have nothing but good things to say about its quality and design. But one thing I was surprised by is that the tag on it says "dry clean only." I don't know if this isn't mentioned on the website, or if I somehow overlooked it, but that's a downer. I like to wash my veils every few months to keep them fresh but I can't imagine taking a veil to a dry cleaner for service. That seems a bit much. I'm not sure why it's dry clean only, except that its embroidery is on a mesh fabric, so maybe it will puck up a bit if exposed to water (?). Anyway, I wish I would have known when I ordered it. If "dry clean only" is mentioned on the website, then my apologies--and in that case, my review goes up to five stars.

I Love the size of this veil…great for a petite person as it hangs well. Regular long mantillas don’t work well for me. I love the design and the sheerness of the veil
