Veils by Lily and This Catholic Couple's Amazing Love Story

There have been countless times when I've been humbled to learn how God has been working in my life without me even realizing it at the time. But it's even more humbling to learn how God uses something that we do in order to work miracles in the lives of others.

Some people might call them coincidences, but I don't. When these things happen, I know that they are sent from God to show us He is with us.

That is what happened to Tiffany and Aaron. A few weeks ago, Tiffany wrote to us:

I want to thank you again for all your efforts in getting my new veils to me for the Feast of the Assumption. I wore my white and gold Spanish Medallion veil to mass last night, and it was gorgeous. I had bought the veil as a surprise for my boyfriend, who has a deep appreciation for my devotion of veiling. Marian feast days have been particularly special to us throughout our relationship, so the Assumption was a big day, and your veils made it perfect.

But my surprise was not the only one yesterday. My boyfriend, Aaron, presented me with a beautiful wrapped gift before leaving for church. Imagine my surprise and delight when I opened it and found one of your veils inside! He had bought me the gold floral infinity veil I had been wanting for a long while. He then told me how helpful you had been when he ordered it last week and requested to have it ready for the Assumption. Despite the short timeline, you made it happen! I cannot thank you enough.

We were both laughing and smiling as we told each other about our efforts to get the veils to surprise each other...and I had to tell him I had also purchased the same gold infinity veil to wear to Adoration with him...as a surprise for him. (We attended a monthly Adoration event called Christ in the City at one of our local parishes...it's actually where we first met!) Instead, I will be giving the infinity veil I bought to a friend who wants to start veiling (to start her collection! I've recommended her to you for all her veiling needs.). So everything worked out well, and you were a big part of that! Thank you so, so, so much!

We were so moved by this story that we asked Tiffany if we could share it with all of you. Not only did she say yes, but Aaron felt compelled to add some words of his own:

I wanted to join in and thank you again for getting the gold infinity veil to me so quickly so that I could present it to Tiffany on the Assumption; however, I must say I think the white and gold Spanish medallion veil she got might be my new favorite. Choosing a favorite is hard especially when she has so many of your beautiful veils. I wanted to try to beat her before she got the gold infinity veil first, but it looks like the Lord had other plans for the both of us and for our friend, Carolann, who will now have a veil of her own.

I cannot express how much I support all that you guys do. You are, one woman at a time, bringing back the reverence our Lord deserves to be shown. Tiffany’s veiling also inspires me to show more reverence during mass or any time we are in a church, so you can take further joy in knowing that your mission positively affects us men as well. I am proud of her witness and so fortunate that she will one day be the mother of our children and we will be able to pass that witness on to our sons and daughters. Plus, she looks so lovely in them that everyone wins!

I think we all melted over here.

Later, Tiffany sent us photos of the two of them (above) at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Columbus, OH, where they first met after Adoration.

This is where Aaron and I first met, right after Adoration. I hadn't gone to that church before, so my new presence, in addition to the scarf/veil I was wearing, caught his attention. The rest, as they say, is history...

I have included a photo of me wearing the Gold Metallic Spanish Medallion Veil (which I wore on the Assumption) as well as the Gold Floral Infinity Veil (the one Aaron and I both bought for each other!). That one I have been wearing to Adoration. It's one of my new favorites.

God's goodness overflowed also to their friend, Carolann, who wore the gold infinity veil Tiffany had ordered before knowing Aaron had already gotten it for her:

Also, our friend Carolann wore her new veil for the first time this past Sunday and truly felt closer to Jesus...I feel blessed to share this joy with her!

But wait, it gets better! On September 8, we received an email from Tiffany with some amazing news and a photo:

Happy Feast of the Nativity of Mary! Aaron [and I] have some more news...

We are engaged! He proposed to me this afternoon in Our Lady of Victory Church, right after we said a Litany to Our Lady of Victory. I was wearing the very first veil I bought from you. We are so happy!

Congratulations, Aaron and Tiffany!

Please say a prayer for them, that God will bless this time before their marriage, that He will bless their marriage with many children, and that He will give them every grace they need to become holy in their vocation and lead their family to heaven!
