Win $500: Essay Contest on the Real Presence"Behold the Lamb of God!" said John the Baptist, and continues to say each priest today at Holy Mass as he elevates God Incarnate for us to adore.

Back in 2008, the realization that the small host I received at Holy Mass was actually Jesus, in the flesh, changed my life. Now, I want it to change others.

To that end, we are working on a new project...and we need your help.

We are looking for essays of approximately 1000 words on the topic of the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist. Essays must be fully cited. Exactly what you address is up to you, but we want these essays to be written with cultural Catholics in mind. These are Catholics of good will who, through no fault of their own, were not adequately catechized to fully grasp the AWE-someness of our faith. They might still go to Mass every Sunday out of habit, or they may have left the Church because they knew of no compelling reason to stay.

Veils by Lily staff will judge all essays and the first place winner will receive a check for $500. Second and third prizes will be $250 and $100, respectively, and fourth through tenth places will receive a Veils by Lily veil of their choice (value up to $50).
